365 Kindness: Year 1, Day 12
If you saw my post yesterday/today I said I was struggling a bit right now. Well, something I think I need to do more of to help me with my emotions and anxiety is art. I love art and being creative, it's so very therapeutic to me. I used to think that doing art just for myself was a waste of time and not worth it.
I know now that this a big bold faced lie and this story below just proves this. You can combine what you love and making a difference! Or, you can do what you love because it makes you feel good and not worry about if that act of self kindness is "wasting" your time or if it's logical. This boy seems to be doing both art and helping others because he wants to and loves both. That is a perfect combination in my opinion.
Synopsis: Boy in Russia loses family dog and is distraught by no longer having his dog buddy and friend. He decides to volunteer at a dog shelter but the dogs were suffering and did not have enough food or funding to properly take care of them. Young boy thinks of the friend he lost and decides to start making painted portraits of peoples pets in exchange for being paid with supplies the dog shelter currently needs (medicine, food, building supplies for dog shelters etc.

I just love this story and absolutely love the art the boy makes. He is so talented!
Love and Light to you all and until tomorrow.
