365 Kindness: Year 1, Day 64 - Jane Cierpicki

Hello everyone!

I am excited to feature another person for this 365 Kindness project! If you are new to this project, I do my best to find someone who spreads Kindness, empowerment or inspiration in what they do and then feature them here on my website. I usually do this once a week.

I do my best to feature people from a wide range of backgrounds and professions because I believe kindness, empowerment and inspiration are present everywhere.

Today I am going to be featuring Jane. I will let her introduce herself below!

About Jane:

I am married with two grown sons, two wonderful daughter in laws and a precious grandson! I worked 35 years for the City of Ottawa and I retired about two weeks ago!

What does the word/sentiment of Kindness mean to you? 

Kindness to me is helping others to be happy! We all live together on this planet so why not help each other have a wonderful life!

What do you do to implement Kindness in your life and/or How has Kindness affected you?

Kindness for me made my job better! Doing little things to improve employee engagement makes everyone happier and makes it easier to go to work every day!I go out of my way with my family as they are my world! I bake for everyone, when I make soup or casseroles I share! I put them first always!

What do you do to share/increase kindness in the lives of people around or people you communicate with.

My mom has dementia and is in a long term care facility! I have adopted many of the seniors who never get visitors and are lonely! Their stories are wonderful! They are hungry for human touch and love! When I was working I helped fundraise when colleagues were going through awful things in their lives! For instance one young man had a 4 year old daughter with Leukemia! We raised close to $3000 for them!We also used to knit every year for the homeless!

What is one message you think the world currently needs to hear?

We are all family! Love and kindness makes the world go around! Life is so short why not help each other!

Is there anything else in the realm of empowerment, inspiration or kindness you would like to share?

Everyone can be kind and what you give you will get back tenfold!!
